Criminal Background Check Required
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration regulations we are required, as your employer, to perform a complete background verification. The following crimes will disqualify you from obtaining authority to have unescorted access privileges to the security identification display areas of an airport. Before applying for employment with Aviation Personnel, please review this list:
- Aircraft piracy.
- Aircraft piracy outside the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States.
- Armed robbery
- Assault with intent to murder.
- Carrying a weapon or explosive aboard an aircraft.
- Commission of certain crimes aboard aircraft in flight.
- Conveying false information and threats.
- Destruction of an aircraft or aircraft facility.
- Distribution of, or intent to distribute, a controlled substance.
- Espionage.
- Extortion.
- Felony arson.
- Forgery of certificates, false making of aircraft, and other aircraft registration violations.
- Improper transportation of a hazardous material.
- Interference with aircraft navigation.
- Interference with flight crew members or flight attendants.
- Kidnapping or hostage taking.
- Lighting violations involving transporting controlled substances.
- Murder.
- Rape or aggravated sexual abuse.
- Sedition.
- Treason.
- Unlawful entry into an aircraft or airport area that serves air carriers or foreign air carriers contrary to established security requirements.
- Unlawful possession, use, sale, distribution, or manufacture of an explosive or weapon.
- Conspiracy or attempt to commit any of the aforementioned criminal acts.
Additional Background Checks & Verifications
Applicants for employment with Aviation Personnel may also be required to submit to additional background checks and verifications, either prior to employment or as required by our clients. Please review the list below to familiarize yourself with these requirements prior to applying for employment.
- County, State and Federal level background checks
- Drug & Alcohol Testing History Verification
- Citizenship and worker status verification
- Motor Vehicle Records Check
- Education and professional certification verification
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) and Federal Communication Commission (FCC) License verification
- Ten-year employment history per the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Drug Screening Required
Aviation Personnel is a drug-free workplace. Employees are required to undergo pre-employment drug screening, and future testing may be required under the following circumstances:
- Random drug testing
- Reasonable Suspicion (probable cause) drug testing
- Post-Accident testing
- Follow-up testing
- Pulmonary Function Test when required
